Attending this event?
ACES is a BIPOC-centered and led art conference. Our vision is to establish a space for artists of color to celebrate and center ourselves. We are coming together with intentionality to value our work and see one another as resources, while focusing on the challenges and solutions we face as artists of color in the Pacific Northwest.

Yazzy, an aspiring artist and high school student from Seattle, Washington had been introduced to art through an after school program when she was 7. Afterwards, her interest in art had been sporadic until the covid-19 pandemic of 2020. Shortly after the pandemic started, awareness on a national scale of social injustice and systemic racism amplified. Yazzy, a young bi-racial female, embraced art as an outlet to express her feelings and connect with her community. Art became her passion.

Yazzy’s artwork depicts moments of daily life through her eyes. Her preferred style is canvas painting. However, she is open to various mediums and has a desire to learn digital art techniques. Yazzy’s goal in creating artwork is to convey a story of a moment in time that she would like to bring awareness to as either a statement or as a reminder of the beauty in life’s simplicities.
